Required Documents for the Lipulekh Permit

Since Lipulekh Pass is located in a sensitive border zone near the Indo-Tibetan frontier, every traveler must obtain an Inner Line Permit (ILP) from the local administration in Dharchula. At WanderSky, we assist our riders with the permit process, but you must carry the following original documents:

• Valid Photo Government ID: Original Aadhaar Card is mandatory. In some cases, a Voter ID or Passport is also accepted. (Note: PAN Card is usually not accepted as address proof).

• Passport Size Photographs: Carry at least 4-6 recent passport-size color photographs for the permit application and forest department forms.

• Physical Fitness Certificate: A medical certificate signed by a registered CMO (Chief Medical Officer) or a government doctor, certifying that you are fit for high-altitude travel (above 14,000 ft).

• Vehicle Documents: If you are bringing your own bike, you must have the original RC, valid Insurance, and a PUC (Pollution Under Control) certificate.

• Self-Declaration/Affidavit: A signed undertaking stating that you are traveling at your own risk, which is a standard requirement for border zones.
