Badrianth Kedarnath Yatra

Badrinath Kedarnath Yatra

Overview

The Badrinath Kedarnath Yatra from Haridwar is one of the most popular pilgrimage routes in India, attracting thousands of devotees and tourists each year. This holy journey takes you to two of the most revered shrines in the Hindu religion, Badrinath and Kedarnath, located in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand.

The journey begins from the sacred town of Haridwar, which is situated on the banks of the river Ganges. From here, pilgrims embark on a spiritual journey to the two holy shrines, which are located at an elevation of more than 3,500 meters above sea level.

The first stop of the yatra is the town of Guptkashi, which is located en route to Kedarnath. Here, you can visit the ancient temple of Vishwanath, which is believed to be built by the Pandavas during the Mahabharata era. The town is also home to the Ardhnareshwar temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Parvati.

The next destination on the yatra is Kedarnath, which is located at the foot of the majestic Kedarnath peak. The town is home to the famous Kedarnath temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India and is believed to be built by the Pandavas. The temple is also famous for its beautiful architecture and intricate carvings.

After visiting Kedarnath, the yatra takes you to the town of Badrinath, which is located at the foot of the Neelkanth peak. The town is home to the famous Badrinath temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India and is believed to be built by the Adi Shankaracharya.

In addition to the two holy shrines, the Badrinath-Kedarnath Yatra from Haridwar also takes you through some of the most beautiful and scenic landscapes in the Himalayas. You can witness the beauty of the snow-capped peaks, gushing rivers, and lush green forests on this spiritual journey.

In conclusion, the Badrinath-Kedarnath Yatra from Haridwar is a must-do pilgrimage for anyone seeking spiritual solace and adventure. With its stunning natural beauty and rich spiritual history, this yatra is an unforgettable experience that will leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
