Our 9-day Spiti Valley Tour Package is perfect for adventure lovers. It passes via famous monasteries like Key and Tabo and charming villages like Chitkul, Langza, Kalpa, and Hikkim. Walking on snow-covered paths, you may even see rare species like snow leopards.

Winter is the best time to visit Spiti. You’ll walk on snowy paths with majestic mountains watching over you. Even when temperatures fall below -30°C and heavy snow makes travel hard, locals love it. They know it brings more water for crops in spring.

A winter trip to Spiti is on every traveler’s bucket list. It offers stunning beauty and peaceful vibes. Visitors can explore ancient monasteries and meet warm, welcoming locals.

Spiti Valley Tour Itinerary

  • The group assembles at the pick-up point by 10:00 PM (tentative).
  • We’ll meet the team captains and a small tour briefing will also be conducted.
  • Afterward, we’ll head out on an overnight journey to Shimla.

Note: The pickup point would be Majnu Ka Tila (tentative).

  • Early in the morning, we’ll arrive in Shimla via the Hindustan-Tibet highway.
  • We’ll be changing our transportation from bus to Tempo Traveler at this point and will head out for Chitkul/Sangla.
  • Upon reaching Chitkul/Sangla, we will check into our hotels where we will indulge in group bonding exercises.
  • Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Chitkul/Sangla.

Note: We’ll stay in Sangla if the harsh weather doesn’t allow us to stay in Chitkul. 

  • After breakfast, we will head towards Kalpa which is known for its scenic landscapes. En route Kalpa, the small town of Reckong Peo town, serves as the perfect pit stop. If the weather gods are in your favor, you will be able to catch a glimpse of Kinner Kailash Peak.
  • After we reach Kalpa, we’ll spend some free time before going to the 3000-year-old Kalpa Monastery and the suicide point.
  • After check-in, dinner will be served, and then you will spend a night in Kalpa.
  • After having breakfast, we’ll continue our journey towards Nako, a tiny hamlet situated in the trans-Himalayan ranges.
  • En route, we will make a pit stop at Khab, the site of the union between the Sutlej and Spiti rivers.
  • In Nako, we’ll visit the serene Nako lake and pay our reverence at the Nako Monastery.
  • Afterward, we’ll head back to our designated stays. Dinner and overnight stay at Nako.
  • Post breakfast, we will head towards the headquarters of Spiti which is Kaza.
  • On the way to Kaza, we will see many monasteries. Kaza connects the different districts. We will visit the Tabo Monastery, which is a thousand years old. After that, we will go to the Dhankar Monastery and the Dhankar Fort.
  • We’ll reach Kaza before evening and will check in to our designated accommodations. The rest of the day is at leisure. However, travelers are free to explore the small town.
  • After dinner, we stayed overnight at Kaza.
  • After breakfast, we will visit the Key Monastery, also known as Kye Gompa. Then, we will go to Chicham Bridge, the highest bridge in Asia.
  • Later in the day, we will visit the highest post office in the world, Hikkim.
  • We will next go to Komic Village, which is one of the highest villages in the world and is accessible by motorway. It is one of the highest villages in the world.
  • At last, we go to Langza the place of fossils, and see the Buddha statue perched top the hill via the view of the village.
  • Finally, we’ll head back to Kaza, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
  • After breakfast, we will start our return journey to Kalpa.
  • We will reach Kalpa by evening where we will have dinner followed by an overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, we’ll resume our return journey and head towards Shimla.
  • Upon reaching Shimla, we will board an overnight bus towards Delhi.
  • We’ll reach Delhi early in the morning and the group will disperse with fond memories.
  • End of Winter Spiti valley Trip.
